  • Studies of land use in Hong Kong as well as the Pearl River Delta Region.
  • Market competition, bidding and forecasting.
  • Risk analysis, and project and construction financing with particular references to public private partnerships and public finance initiatives.
  • Financial instruments for funding projects.
  • Input-output tables for inter-sectoral dependence analysis.
  • Construction technology development.

  • Completion of the CII-HK funded project 'Construction Safety Involving Working at Height for Residential Building Repair and Maintenance' in 2006.

  • To conduct a joint research project 'Safety Considerations for Residential Building Design in Hong Kong' together with the Housing Research Group in 2005/06.

  • To develop a 'Rapid Demountable Platform' (RDP) to replace traditional truss-out bamboo scaffolds (Patent Application Number: 200610009426.9).
