THE INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

The International Journal of Construction Management (ISSN 1562-3599) publishes quality papers aiming to advance the knowledge of construction management. The Journal is devoted to the publication of original research including, but not limited to, construction management, sustainable construction, information technology application, construction production, construction and real estate economics, policy and legal framework for construction and real estate industry, construction procurement, contract administration, building and infrastructure works, and the construction process.

Preface

The Chinese Research Institute of Construction Management (CRIOCM) is registered under the Hong Kong Societies Ordinance. It is a non-profit society that serves the construction and real estate industries in the areas of research, education and management in mainland China , Hong Kong and other regions. The Institute is located at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University .

The aim of CRIOCM is to play a bridging role between mainland China , Hong Kong and the international context in undertaking research and academic activities in the fields of construction and real estate, and to promote the development of construction and real estate industries in China Mainland and Hong Kong .

The objectives of CRIOCM are: (1) to develop, promote, encourage and co-ordinate the construction and real estate related research activities and studies supported or sponsored by the public and private sector; (2) to promote and co-ordinate the exchange of activities between academics, professionals and organizations to build a bridging mechanism for management systems in construction and real estate between China and international context; (3) to co-operate with the relevant bodies organizing research studies, training and exchange visits for construction professionals in both mainland China and Hong Kong; and (4) to run, The International Journal of Construction Management, and publish appropriate research.
