Aim of the Centre

The advancement of knowledge relating to the delivery process of construction projects.

The Research Centre for Construction Innovation has recently been established to create and apply new knowledge and understanding of Construction Innovation including IT systems to provide new solutions which will help improve the construction process. The Department of Building and Real Estate of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University has developed research programs and consultancy capacities in construction innovation. The Mission of the Centre is to act as a focal point for addressing the construction industry's research and consultancy needs, as well as providing the manpower of specialists who will bring about a step change in the industry practice.
