  1. A Study of ethical behaviour of construction professionals in Hong Kong construction industry (PI: Dr Linda C.N. Fan)
    • To investigate the effect of different pre-work and post-work professional training on the characteristics of the professionals in the construction industry (architects, surveyors, engineers and construction managers)

    • To clarify the role of personal attributes in professional ethics inquiry, by in-depth investigation on the effects of age, experience and education level of professionals on the change of their ethical perceptions

    • To study the factors of various professionals in developing the ethical decision making behaviour when facing ethical dilemma

  1. Quality relationships in public housing (PI: Prof Albert P.C. Chan)
    • Identify the underlying factors affecting the quality of building projects in Hong Kong

    • Identify the principal measures of building quality

    • Conduct an empirical study to identify factors that show a strong correlation to quality outcomes

    • Develop a conceptual model that shows the causal relationship between the critical success factors (CSF) and the quality outcomes

    • Examine how diverse knowledge is managed in value management teams
